FIRST PRESBYTERIAN DAY SCHOOL - Infinity Network Solutions


When Macon’s First Presbyterian Day School needed an experienced, trustworthy IT firm that could furnish students, faculty and administrative staff with all the technology tools they required, school administrators called on Infinity Network Solutions.

With an enrollment of nearly 1,000 students, First Presbyterian Day School (FPD) is a leader in the K-12 private school community. Since 2005, Infinity Network Solutions has provided FPD with IT services, including a number of special projects.

Starting with the implementation of an IP-based telephone solution that required network infrastructure upgrades, Infinity Network Solutions has been in FPD’s corner, supporting internal staff when needed and also playing an important role as the school’s technology consultant.

School officials identified reliable wireless access across the campus as being crucial for 21st century instruction and administration.

As such, Infinity was called upon to contribute to the design and subsequent implementation of a campus-wide 802.11n wireless network for use by all students, faculty and staff.

A Technology Assessment and Needs Report, designed by Infinity Network Solutions and the technology director from FPD, was used to solicit proposals from many industry leaders in the education Wi-Fi technology community including Ruckus, Xirrus, Cisco and Aerohive. First Presbyterian Day School conducted an extensive review and determined that Aerohive was the best choice to meet the requirements of the school.
